RE: Accident at Parmer/Mopac  Joyce A. Billings

Thank you Richard. We had just come home from out town trip and turned onto
Parmer as they were cleaning up. It looked bad. Another reminder is DO NOT
RUN A YELLOW LIGHT and if the light is RED....STOP. Do not pretend that you
are part of the other two cars that just ran the red light.

Subject: [LVN] Accident at Parmer/Mopac

Regina and I just witnessed a serious accident at this intersection. An
oncoming driver ran a just-changed-to-red light to make a left turn onto the
Mopac access road heading northbound.
She didn't make it. Her car nearly hit our own but I squealed brakes and
stopped in time. The woman to our right was not so lucky. The cars
collided and appear totaled. Both front ends are collapsed.
Air bags, seatbelts, and other safety features probably saved them both from
serious injury. My car was untouched. We're ok but mentally shaken by this
close call.
Everyone, please be vigilant at this intersection!

Rick
