Warner Bay Laser Fleet to host District 20 Grand Prix Champs.
This Thursday, Saturday and Sunday

Get your fiberglass lawn ornament off the grass and into the water! The
Madison Area Laser Fleet or Warner Bay Thursday Night Laser Racers ishosting
the District 20 Grand Prix Championship this coming Saturday and Sunday. It
is really just a relaxed to promote fun sailing with a few extra out of town
sailors. We hope for 20-30 boats, but you can never know.

This is a great opportunity to check out Laser Racing, fun, athletic, wet,
tactical sailboat racing. When the wind is up Warner Bay get rough and wavy
and provide some of the best racing in the Midwest. Come on down and see
how the new and old rigging works on a Laser. We have 30 year old boats with
cryptic rigging winning races, and new boats with all the go fasts. doing
the same and sometimes flipping. It does not matter how you rig it, but how
you sail it.

Racing continues every Thursday Night including this week with another night
of 10-15 boats on the starting line at 6:00pm. On Saturday, registration
starts at 9:00 AM, and is just $30, Competitors Briefing is at 11:00 with
the first race at 12:00 noon. We plan to run 5-8 races and be done by 4:00
PM or so and then continue on Sunday until 2 PM.

So wash your boat off and bring it down, or find a sailing friend and loan
them your boat. Promote the sport of sailing and wash off your lawn ornament
at the same time! We expect all skill levels, don't be shy, you will learn a
lot
