Tracy - another option is to put the manufacturer number in the
secondary description field in IC11 then when you search it will show
up.

Tracy - We still enter the Cook long manufacturer number on all forms
where there is a field for MFG Code and MFG Number (IC11, IC12 and
PO13). We enter the GPN number on the PO13 Vendor Item field as
required by Cook. On Lawson version 9 the field for the MFG number has
been expanded to 15 Characters. When we enter the Cook MFG number, I
remove the hyphen and enter as much of the number as the field allows.

We have a problem with the mfg# and vin# with Cook Products. The mfg#
for some of their items exceed the number of characters for that field
so we have tried truncating them but that makes it difficult to search
for the proper item. We tried swapping the 2 numbers but Cook wants the
"G" number in our "vin#" field for their identification.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? What is your solution? Any
help would be much appreciated.
