Hi all!
I am sending you Pakadevas for the 4th. of July & Canada Day weekend.
I remember when Rob was here for Canada Day. We were in Newfoundland.
Mom came in for the weekend & we took her to all the local celebrations
& meals around town. We ended the day, finding a parking spot on the
ocean & had all kinds of juices, pop, snacks, & treats we could find. We
had a birdseye view of the fireworks. We really had a blast! Well, I
want all of you to have a blast this weekend too:)

Sugared Walnuts
3 cups granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup sour cream
8 cups walnuts halves or quarters
Combine sugar, vanilla & sour cream in a large saucepan. Cook over
medium heat only. Bring to a boil & boil gently for 6 minutes, stirring
constantly. Pour walnuts into a large bowl. Pour the hot liquid onto the
nuts & stir until well-coated. Spread on a waxed paper covered cookie
sheet. Cool. Store in mason jars.

Grandma's Remedies:
Cauliflower:
To preserve it for more then a couple days do a quick dip in boiling
water. Seperate the heads into florets not to big then 5- 10 seconds in
the boiling water. NO more then 15 seconds. Drain really well & bag in a
zip top bag getting as much of the air out. Refridgerate for up to 5-6
