EV sensor bypass

Some time ago, on one of the lists, I read a thread on bypassing the oil
temp sensor on the left valve cover on the EV in order to make sure the CPU
operates in the "motor at operating temp" mode. I bought some resistors & a
rheostat, got distracted ( a peculiar "senior" disability), & lost track of
the information. Anyone know where it was posted and/or who posted it?
