Hi Raewin and Ron and all,

Have you read Constance Classen's "Wolds of Sense"?
She's a Canadian Anthropologist and works with a group
which have been writing about anthropology of the
senses. She devotes a chapter to feral children, and
given the nature of your work, I suspect you do know
the book.

Part of my work is going in this direction now.

Ron, as much as I understand you keep on moving every
year? All the time last year when you were talking
about Petaluma I felt as it was a place you were
building to live for a long time. Good luck on this
new place and best vibes from Brazil.

best for all metapeople there

Hope the new year brings much laughter, song,
fulfillment, friendship
and peace for all Metalist people.

Ron, re the string theory and creating images that
have a
correspondence to scientific imaging, although
coming from a completely
different path. I spent the last couple of months
creating a story
around feral children and then found an almost
identical one in Greek
mythology....

best wishes

Raewyn

Holiday Greetings to all of you.

Lately PBS in the USA has broadcast some beautiful
TV programs on
string theory featuring the thoughts of some heavy
hitters like the
author of The Elegant Universe and others. Their
mostly tentative
conclusions remind me of some of our discussions
on the musical nature
of reality, physical and otherwise. Plus some of
their animated
graphic illustrations look like they could have
been lifted from the
music generated laser animations on my visual
music DVDs.

About to end my surfing of the abyss as it looks
like the next ledge
is North Dallas in the university town of Denton -
sweet winter sunny
acre that includes a 1K sq ft in-house studio and
a huge backyard
sloping down to a creek. Seems like the perfect
setting for work and
reflection. Plus the Dallas/Fort Worth airport is
only 40 minutes
away so I think I'll be hitting the road again.

Regards,
