Nah. I don't think I need another Gemini - (so are you riding that thing
around Chicago now?). But, if you see a Guzzi Quota, or a Cagiva Gran
Canyon or the like, by all means give me a call. Darren has enough crap
already!

Darrell, if I find a running Laverda Gemini for under $200 should I
pick it up
for you?
Re: AHRMA vs. AMA, I think this might be a good thing in the long
term. AFAIK
the battle has been between Rob Ianucci and Jeff Smith and AHRMA
just can't seem
to get either of these personalities to leave it alone, which in my
opinion would
be better off with both of them in a non-leadership position. (sure
let them
ride and compete and Smith can talk shit about every kind of bike he
raced
against in the 50s, but that kind of childish behavior from a race
director gets
old after the fourth or fifth time) This may be the straw the camel
needs to
kill it and let something new grow from the carcass.
Us Chicago folk will be at the top of Row S near the corner of the
swap meet
closest to the main gate. Stop by and cool your heels in our shade.
Mention
RickL for a free cold beverage. And bring lots of cash because with
out Daren
there the good deals will be thick on the ground!

Guys,
I don't think I am going to make it down there this year. I have
gone
every year for about the last 10 years. I've got some conflicts with
work
plans, but I guess the real reason is I'm feeling a little burnt out
on
it. The AMA vs. AHRMA thing completed the deal. I'll miss the
annual
BS'in with all my old buddies though. Have fun! I'll be looking
forward
to seeing a report from Jeff on all the bargains he and Greg score.
I'll
probably regret this.
I am going to try real hard to do the Barber Vintage days this fall
though.

who will be attending this year?
we'll be in spots 214-216-218 again this year. this is near the
entrance
to the swap meet, and just a little across the way from the
Columbus, oh
(rice paddy) folks. stop by. We're figgering the prices should be

for buying, but wauseon didnt seem to indicate that.
I'm bringing cheap titled yam 2 stroke street bikes (rd200, rd400)
|

nice 70 CB450 and probably some other stuff.
whats your game plan?
