Call Obama: Reject I-69 extension [and "clean coal"]

All,
Let's stir up a storm of awareness. I made my call to the Obama campaign
office in Indianapolis. See further down for contact information. We
only have a phone number for Indianapolis. Please make your call. I told
the message machine that
1. Sen. Obama must step it up to care about the environment,
2. I objected to both I-69 and so called "clean coal,"
3. I noted how undemocratic the process has been because objections
during the I-69 hearings outweighed support for the proposal [in one way
or another], even in Evansville,
4. I noted that this concern about I-69 is one more reason not to donate
to his campaign the next time that I am asked, and
5. I pointed out that I am likely to vote against him in the Indiana
Primary because of his anti-environmental

Sen. Barack Obama told the Courier & Press on Saturday that he will
bring his presidential campaign to Evansville soon.
"I guarantee you we'll be in Evansville," the Illinois Democrat said by
telephone while traveling on a bus between Johnstown, Pa., and Altoona,
Pa.
Obama also pledged that, if elected president, he will push to preserve
the pipeline of federal highway dollars that Interstate 69 advocates
believe is necessary for construction of the Evansville-to-Indianapolis
superhighway.
