Team,
Turned out to be a great day, down to Oceanside and back. We had 10 riders
leaving the Square, but very shortly picked up 4 more riders. We knew we
were in for trouble when Dan Hoopes showed up at the Square on his single.
(not that he
is slower with BRi on the tandem) I made the mistake of doing the 1st seven
miles up front with Dan, his warm-up just about wore me out. One of these
days I will learn what "warm-up" means, and hang back!
Dan & Doris, Dan H, and Charlie made up the lead group down and back, and
ended up with a 18.8 mph average, way to go team! On the way back I hope
they were able to
catch a glimpse of the regatta going on off the coast of Capo Beach. Us
mere
mortals came in with 17.3 mph average, and we did see the regatta. Rene did
a great job pulling all day.
All in all it was a great day, weather treated us well.
I hope all had as good a time as I.
Chuck, how did the Terrible Two go?
