CONCEPTION

This is a great time to be living on earth. Little by little the mysteries of
life can be seen in a different light which opens up new horizons to our
understanding of who we are and where we come from.
It is true that there is still a lot to be disclosed. We are gradually
preparing ourselves for the great opening up of what was for eons the mystery of
conception. In the meantime, information seems to be coming together, fusing in a
pool of knowledge that has accumulated since the beginning of time.
There are many reports of babies conceived without the sperm: this is what we
call "The Miracle of Immaculate Conception."
"Before I was born out of my mother, generations guided me."

Now, we have some knowledge of what happens before and at conception; we have
seen the photos, and we have read the books, but we still call the event a
mystery or a miracle.
It is a mystery that mother's eggs are formed before her own birth. It is a
mystery that out of 200 million sperm, only one succeeds in penetrating the egg
and fertilizes it.
It is a mystery that the egg emits signals to attract the sperm. The egg is
the seducer. In spite of the fact that it is the largest cell in the body, the
mother's egg is the size of a dot on the letter i. Men's sperm is the smallest
cell in the body.
It is a mystery that one cell, the woman's egg, once fertilized starts to
divide itself, and by day 3, there are 6 to 8 cells which transmit signals to
tell the world of its existence.
It is a mystery that in spite of its small size, a quarter of an inch, when 4
weeks old, the embryo has a heart that starts to beat. About 6 to 7 weeks,
the embryo begins to move, and when he is three months old, he does somersaults
and urinates.
There is order in all of these developments. As the cells continue to divide
themselves, they also form inner and outer cells. The inner cells give rise to
the embryo and to all the cells in the baby's body, the outer cells protect
the baby until his birth, then, they are discarded.
What makes cells act to harmoniously? Researchers claims that molecules in
the cells contain a genetic code with instructions and information not only
about the baby, but also about other forms of life which have been passed on in
billions of years. Therefore, all our historic records and all life is related.
The history of years of evolution is contained within one cell. This is what
scientists call the hologram: the whole is in every part. This is the
"Implicate Order" of David Bohm. This is what has been referred throughout the
centuries, from Aristotle to Albert Einstein: A tiny piece within us contains all the
information there is.
This is what physicists are now working on: the string and superstring theory
which places an emphasis on extra dimensions. We are learning from their work
that reality is beyond our senses, and what our eyes can see; reality comes
from a "single ingredient."
We are beginning to realize that we come from a oneness that is formless.
Within the illusion of matter, that oneness manifests in the form of a cell which
divides itself, but that division is only temporary.
What happens at conception is probably the solidification of what happened
with the formation of the earth, and all creatures in it. It all came from one
cell, to which we will go back, sooner or later.
It has taken us 2000 years to confirm what is written in the Bible: while in
the womb, babies react to the world around them; they feel joy, they jump,
they suck their fingers and so forth.
It seems that the same order that created the universe also builds,
structures, organizes and disciplines the cells within us, so that we can exist
temporarily in space and time.
We may call that order God, Supernatural, Higher Intelligence, Love/Energy,
and so forth. Whatever we choose to call that order, let's remember that it is
the energizer of all the energizers.
The dictionary describes a miracle as an event that apparently contradicts
scientific laws. It describes a mystery as something unexplained and unknown;
truth that cannot be comprehended by the human mind. The miracle and mystery of
conception is rapidly unfolding but, like modern physics, contradicts our
experiences. Indeed, it is hard to believe that our reality is beyond our senses,
and what our eyes can see. Conception, then, confirms that we all come from a
oneness in the form of a cell, and from a dimension that, so far, we know
nothing about; we can only guess.
In the meantime, our main problem is that we think we are separate from that
Oneness: that one cell. Conception, like science, shows us the opposite. How
can we be separate from something that is within us and formed us?
