ARTICLE OF THE MONTH
WOMEN;BE AWARE!
The Bible describes many battles won by The Jews before and after they
settled in the Promised Land. In spite of their courage, the Jews of the Old
testament, chose to fight their battles on high ground; the reason was because
their enemies owned 900 chariots. In those days, chariots were powerful weapons
against the on-foot Jewish soldiers.They were pulled by horses,and made of
iron and wood, they also had razor-sharp knives extending from the wheels and
designed to mutilate the foot soldiers.
The problem of the chariots was not solved until about 1.200 BC. It was the
mission of a woman called, Deborah to get rid of them. How interesting that
after centuries of debasing women, and using them as free and available
merchandise, finally a woman shows up to play a prominent role in history.
Deborah was what we call today "a psychic." In the Old testament they were
called prophets. They were men and women who received prophesies from God that
materialized either during their life time or later on.
God told Deborah to make arrangements to go down to the valley and fight the
Generals and
soldiers in their chariots. When the enemy confronted 10.000 Jewish soldiers
on foot, they panicked, and so did the horses and the chariots dispersed. Of
course, they were all destroyed.
As prophesied, it all ended very well for Deborah who, with the help of God,
also became the first woman Judge to rule Israel. And she did it for 40
peaceful years.
Deborah was the first example in the Bible, of a truly liberated woman. She
was able to let go of her "inner enemy," what we call in modern times:the ego.
Her inner enemy must have prevented her, for a while, from listening to the
real voice within - The Voice for her Higher Self. Once she let go of her
ego, she started to have faith, was able to listen, to transmit the messages and
follow instructions. We'd think that women would have followed her example
and liberate themselves right away. But only now, more than 3.000 years later,
we think of ourselves as"liberated," and that is only in some parts of the
world.
Men, in Mexico, are protesting against "liberated" women because they are
threatening their masculinity. In the meantime, in other parts of the world,
women continue to be raped, whipped, stoned, and forced to become slaves.
In a nutshell, no one has worked on being truly "liberated." What some of us
has done is invent an illusion of "liberation" that has nothing to do with
our inner self, but with the "outer."
God allows us to do that only up to a certain point.
WHETHER WE BELIEVE IT OR NOT HE IS IN CHARGE.
Just like in wars, the enemy disperses and may even disappear for a while,
only to regroup later, and start the battles all over again; so does our ego,
it tries to convince us that we achieved a goal which is nothing than a
temporary illusion that we are changing for the better. The ego attacks again and
again. Women will eventually have to look at their form of "liberation" that
has destroyed the family, weakening the men, and even themselves.
Women have not been able to drive the enemy within far away and out of
sight, so that they clear the way for the voice for God to be heard. This may seem
like a big task but, as the Bible teaches us, over and over again, all we've
to do is ask for His guidance.
When we become prophets, we don't need to ask for guidance anymore; indeed,
guidance comes to us, as it did to Deborah. In the end, a task that seemed
impossible to accomplish was finally achieved as designed by God. Deborah was
just an instrument, so to speak, for our Higher Self to interfere on earth and
show us His powers, His influence and His choices. When time comes, all of
us will be like Deborah, and easily conquer the enemy within.
