ARTICLE OF THE MONTH:
BEFORE THE WORLD BEGAN
PART THREE
"THE BOOK OF LIFE"
When I was a young girl, my parents and I visited friends who had been
involved in a car accident:their mother was killed, the daughter and her husband
were seriously injured. It was what the daughter told us that impressed me all
my life. I never forgot her description of what she saw as the car was
speeding down the mountain totally out of control;scene by scene her whole life
unfolded, just like in a movie, or a book.But there were some scenes that she
could not understand.
It is a fact, that life has been "scripted" before the world began. The
Bible mentions "books,"
and one of them is entitled "The Book of Life."
"I saw the dead both great and small, standing
before
God's throne. And the books were opened,
including
The Book Of Life. And the dead were judged
according
to what they had done, as recorded in the
books."
Revelation 20:12
BE AWARE! IF YOU THINK THAT LIFE ON EARTH IS JUST AN UGLY OR PRETTY MOVIE
WITHOUT CONSEQUENCES, YOU ARE MAKING A BIG MISTAKE.
When my friend was going through the state we call "death," she was shown
the books that contained the on-going events before and after the world began.
That is the reason why she could understand and recognize only part of what
she saw.
When the time comes for us to change from our physical body to spiritual, we
are judged by our deeds, emotions, and above all our faith, based on our
thoughts, as a WHOLE.
The car accident, and the events that followed, make us think about death as
not the end but part of a process that started before the existence of the
universe, and will go on unto eternity, and even beyond.
The Book of Life was written "before the world began." Rev.14:8. It contains
the names of individuals who have a chance to be saved and will live
eternally. However, their names can be taken out:
"Erase their names from the
Book of Life;
don't let them be counted
among the
righteous." Psalms 69:28.
We have all been chosen to come to earth to correct the greatest mistake we
made:to think that we separated from our Source --- Our Higher Self.
Does this mean that we are on a mission that has been imposed on us?
Absolutely not.
We have free will. The choice to correct our mistakes, or not, is ours!
However, if we choose to abort our mission, we will suffer consequences.
When my friend was given the opportunity to look at the events of her life,
she was also given a chance to choose to come back to earth or not. No one
dies without his or her own consent.
Obviously, life on earth is not a useless journey. We've been promised a new
earth where "Nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices
shameful idolatry and dishonesty --- but only those whose names are written
in the Lamb's Book of Life." Revelation 21:27.
The Lamb is Christ.He has promised to make everything new. But before that
happens, he will wipe out every tear from our eyes.
We must have faith!
