Ohio Cyclists,
I just received word from Senator Teresa Fedor's office that the
introduction of our bill to require that motorists leave a three foot
clearance when passing bicyclists has been postponed again.
This time, it was a conflict with budget hearings and end-of-fiscal year
announcements which would overshadow our announcement. I will let you
know when a new date is set.
Thanks,
- Chuck Smith
Chair, Ohio Bicycle Federation

Biking Safety Press Conference Canceled
Columbus OH – Senators Teresa Fedor and Mark Wagoner have canceled their
press conference scheduled for Tuesday, June 30. The legislation will be
introduced at a later date and the press conference will be rescheduled
accordingly.

Dear Chuck –
We apologize greatly for the cancellation again of this press
conference! With the budget going on, the Senate and House will likely
have emergency sessions. Also, is the last day of the fiscal year, so
the message would be lost with budget discussions and other related
news. She will do it at a later date when due attention will be paid to
this very important legislation.
Sincerely,
Ursula Barrera
