| Purpose: |
OilResistance-Africa is a list for people working in solidarity with the many struggles for environmental justice, human rights, and cultural and economic survival by African communities facing oil exploitation. The list is a place for news from oil struggles in Africa, updates on work in solidarity with these campaigns, and news on how American foreign and military policy and globalization contribute to oil colonization in Africa.
Ongoing discussions of strategies or plans for particular campaigns should be announced here, but carried out elsewhere.
This list is maintained by Project Underground, a Berkeley, California-based group campaigning for the human rights of communities resisting mining and oil exploitation. |
