Hi All
James got a personal FM system today for the 1st time.
An MLxS for his 3G .
When I listened to it through the microphone attachment I was surprised
to hear some interference. Whilst the voice quality was fine there was a
small amount of interference which the rep from Phonak said was fine. Is
this normal?
Secondly - when we plugged the headset into the tv I was even more
surprised when I was told that the sound comes through to James at a
preset level ie: if James wants to turn the tv louder or quieter he
cannot do so as the sound comes directly to him - so even when we muted
the tv he still received the same sound level.
We have only got an FM for his implanted side, not the side he wears a
hearing aid on - does anyone have experience of both?
Obviously I am very ignorant of the capabilities of the FM system but
any feedback would be great.
Many thanks
Emma
