Hi all,
In case this is any use ...
We contacted a singing teacher, Christine Marsden, from
http://www.schubertline.co.uk/teachers.htm#south
to teach us how to breathe, and get a stronger, clearer voice.
Christine was great. She usually teachers teenage/adult singers, but
was happy to help us. She showed us how to "tummy breathe" keeping
shoulders still etc. It was a lot of fun, and maybe a good complement
to the babbling / reciting etc stuff.
