Fundraising in local schools

Hi all,
Whilst AV UK can campaign for funds for the charity on a larger scale, how
about families doing their bit within their own local areas and schools?
For example, our school regularly run non-uniform days, cake stalls, bring
'n' buy sales to raise monies for Blue Peter appeals, Comic Relief etc and
I'm sure other schools operate in the same way.
Why not ask your child's school if they would be willing to support AV UK by
donating the profits from one of their non-uniform days? There is plenty of
information about the charity in the "Let's Talk" booklet so you could take
this into school as the starting point.
I know the money from each school would not be a huge amount but if we were
all to join into this, it starts to make a difference, as well as raising
the awareness of AV UK.
Its quick, easy and wouldnt take too much of your time......try it now
whilst schools are planning their event dates for 2005!
