BAR points have been scored for the Oley Valley Junior RR, Emrick Blvd Crit=
erium, and DeSales CR. Points will be tabulated today from the GC standings=
of the Tour de Millersburg. I took note of the Steel City Endurance team w=
ho took part in the TdM. It=E2=80=99s great to see our WPA riders coming ea=
st to race. An example for all to adopt!
Nanticoke Criterium
The one road event on the PA road race calendar this coming weekend is the =
Nanticoke Criterium (http://www.bikereg.com/events/register.asp?eventid=3D9=
075). I profiled Phil Cable and what he is doing for racing and the Scranto=
n-Wilkes Barre area so get online to sign up and support his race. There ar=
e races for all age groups and categories plus events for Phil=E2=80=99s Yo=
uth Development program. I hope to see your name in the results.
Junior State Road Race
Judging by the results the Oley Valley Junior Road Race was a huge success.=
I saw a few WPA riders in the results whose names I know from the weekly A=
CA races at the Oval in Pittsburgh. In fact I got a phone call from a paren=
t whose son is going to travel east for the Junior State Criterium Champion=
ships on the 29th. It was great to see the PA and NJ juniors get out and ra=
ce for medals and most of all fun! Thanks to May Britt and all the folks at=
Young Medalists/Team Dual Temp for promoting the event. Congratulations to=
the PA champions:
JG10-12: Veda Gerasimek (One Call Now)
JB10-12: Colin Kelly (LWA)
JG13-14: Nadia Latzgo (LWA)
JB13-14: Greg Ratzell (LWA)

JB15-16: Matthew Baranoski (Alliance Environmental)

Final Words=20
If you travel between NE and Center City Philadelphia you may see a rider o=
n a red road bike wearing a blue and white Francais de Jeux kit. That rider=
is me, commuting to and from work. I wear my team kit when I am not in com=
muting mode so I may not be recognizable to some. I=E2=80=99ve seen quite a=
few riders in my 2-3 day weekly trek and despite the traffic and crazy wea=
ther patterns I am enjoying that time on the bike. Please do not tell my w=
ife where you saw me as she is afraid, based on my route to/from work that =
I am in harm=E2=80=99s way. I look at it this way; they=E2=80=99d have to c=
atch me first!
Stay safe and cool!
