A True Test of a PA BAR Rider

Since its inception the PA BAR was designed to offer top quality races in a=
ll three road disciplines (road race, criterium, time trial) where riders o=
f all categories can earn points. The last three weeks of PA BAR season wil=
l truly define the Best All Around Rider. The four remaining events cover t=
he gamut of racing disciplines with some challenging venues and three chanc=
es for riders to earn double pints in state championship events. On Friday =
M1-2-3 can earn BAR points in the Wilkes-Barre Pro-Am Friday Night Twilight=
Criterium (http://www.bikereg.com/events/register.asp?eventid=3D9170). Sun=
day is the first of three straight state championships as elite men and wom=
en will contest the Robeson Township - PA State Road Race Championships (ht=
tp://www.bikereg.com/events/register.asp?eventid=3D9177). Promoters Phil Ca=
ble and Mike Miller have worked hard to put on top notch events so please s=
how your support by logging on to www.BikeReg.com to register. The
following two weekends wrap up the BAR and state championship season with =
the Yuasa Right From the Start Criterium (Elite Championship), and Pine Gro=
ve Furnace TT. So if you are looking to challenge yourself after a hard roa=
d campaign or just want to stay fresh for cross there=E2=80=99s no shortage=
of races to meet those goals.

PCA Awards Banquet

For the past several years the Yuasa Criterium has served as the venue for =
the PCA BAR Awards Ceremony. This year the PCA decided to hold a banquet fo=
r riders, family, and friends to come together and celebrate this year=E2=
=80=99s accomplishments and look ahead to 2010. The banquet will take place=
on Sunday October 11th from 5 PM to 9 PM at the Victory Brewing Company (h=
ttp://www.victorybeer.com/) in Downingtown. The banquet cost will be approx=
imately $5 per person. I am working on a practical solution (BikeReg, colle=
ction at the banquet) to collect the cost for each attendee and I will have=
more information on that by the end of the week. Please RSVP to me if you =
can join us for this gala.

Final Words=20

As the road season winds down I want to thank the family and friends who su=
pport the riders who are out there weekend after weekend racing their bike =
for the love of the sport of cycling. I spend a lot of time in these emails=
thanking the riders for their support but I wanted to recognize the sacrif=
ices our loved ones and those closest to us make to allow all to make the P=
CA what it is; the best cyclists in the country enjoying the camaraderie an=
d competition of bicycle racing. Thank you!

Stay safe and cool!
