Global Warming Solutions Rally:
THE TIME TO COMMIT IS NOW! 20% by 2020 and 80% by 2050
August 15th 10am in Annapolis
Join the newly formed Alliance for Global Warming Solutions to
support the Maryland Commission on Climate Change. It is imperative
for them to adopt science-based reductions of global warming
pollution 20% by 2020 and 80% by 2050! The Commissioners need to
know that the people of Maryland support them in making the state a
national leader in fighting climate change. Come join us on August
15, 2007 at 10am in Annapolis!
Background:
This past April, Governor O'Malley created the Maryland Commission
on Climate Change to assess the future impacts of global warming in
Maryland, and to complete an action plan to address them. For more
information and a list of commissioners, working groups, and meeting
times, you can visit the Commission website,

We need to make sure the Commission commits to science-based
reductions and that study swiftly leads to action. Maryland is in
the position to make significant progress, and we have the
opportunity to emerge as a national leader in fighting climate
change. It is important for the Commission to know that Marylanders
support bold and comprehensive local solutions.
Tell your neighbors, bring your friends, and rally for real
solutions. We are meeting at 10 am sharp on Lawyer's Mall in
Annapolis. Show our leaders that the time to commit is now!
