PRINCE GEORGE'S MOST ENDANGERED FOREST -
Media Invited to Nature Walk at Fort Washington Site

Time: Saturday, walk begins at 1:30 at St. John's Country Fair Celebration.
Events: A short, guided tour through "old growth" section of the
Fennell Tract -- located in the County's Broad Creek Historic
District. The Fennell Tract was selected as Prince George's Most
Endangered Environmental Setting earlier this year during
Preservation Month. Currently, it is threatened by subdivision
plans.
The Country Fair's theme is Earth Awareness: hybrid cars/solar
exhibits/demonstrations will be conducted at the Church, noon - 5:00
p.m.
Blue Star Veterans Memorial: Congressman Al Wynn will join the
Tantacove Garden Club at the Church garden for the dedication of
commemorative plaque. 3:00 p.m.
Address: Sign-up for Nature Walk the Broad Creek Historic District
booth, in St. John's Church hall. Before 1:30.
