Community Partners Meeting  Joyce Dowling
 Nov 29, 2007 17:16 PST

Dear Community Partner:

It is once again my pleasure to invite you to the Department
of Public Works and Transportation's (DPW&T) Community Partners' Snow
and Ice Control Operations Program meeting. This meeting will be held
on Thursday, December 6, 2007, from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at DPW&T's
Office of Highway Maintenance located at 8400 D'Arcy Road,
Forestville, Maryland.

This is a very important meeting, as the primary focus is to
share information with you and to ensure that your input is
considered in all aspects of the 2007 - 2008 Snow and Ice Control
Operations Program. During the course of the meeting, you will meet
the district manager responsible for your area. This will afford you
the opportunity to share your input directly with staff responsible
for your community. In addition, updated information pertinent to
the overall success of this program will be distributed, which
includes staff contact information, area roadway maps, and reporting
procedures.

Another important aspect of the meeting will be an update on
the progress that has been made, thus far, in curbing illegal
dumping. Because this is such an important countywide initiative,
Prince George's County Executive Jack Johnson and States Attorney
Glenn Ivey plan to attend this meeting. County Executive Johnson
will share information with you about the county's new campaign to
"Keep It Clean, Keep It Green". States Attorney Ivey will address
what is being done to prosecute alleged offenders.

Your participation as a volunteer in DPW&T's Community
Partnering Program is greatly appreciated. I look forward to seeing
you on December 6th, as this will be one of our most interesting and
informative meetings to date. If you would like to invite additional
community representatives to attend this meeting, please do not
hesitate to do so.

To ensure that the appropriate number of materials is provided for
each attendee, please contact Ms. Susan Hubbard of my office by
telephone at 301.883.5600 or through e-mail at sdhub-@co.pg.md.us
to register your attendance no later than Monday, December 3, 2007.
If you have questions about this upcoming meeting or any other
matters related to DPW&T, please contact Ms. Hubbard, as well.

For your convenience, directions to the Office of Highway
Maintenance, which is easily accessible from the Beltway, are
included on the reverse side. On the morning of the meeting, mobile
signs will be strategically placed to direct you to the meeting
facility and the parking lot.

Sincerely,

Haitham A. Hijazi
Director
