I agree. AAA says it's safest to go with the flow
of the traffic, not at speed limit. I think it
accepted my answers leaving one or two blank. I
think there was something there about agressive
driving, but they didn't give their definition
and it's interpretted differently. I also had
problems with the roadside memorials questions.
Did you get that far?

OK, I took the test. Not designed, never mind
not well designed. Leading traffic problems
include road rage, speeding, BWI, better highway
design... A number of multi-choice questions
that really needed a "None of the above" block.
The quiz person clearly thinks that the possible
punishments for drunk driving are: $1000 fine,
30 days in jail, car impounded, loss of drivers
license for six months...

IMHO it is agressive drivers that are the most
dangerous. The idiot who weaves through traffic
20+ MPH faster that the rest of traffic. Or the
idiot on the beltway who is five feet behind a
car, going 65 MPH. Oh Sorry, that is a Police
Officer just going somewhere...

Subject: Prince George's County Traffic Safety concerns- short, local survey

We know everyone has concerns and issues with
highway safety in Prince George's County. Now
is your time to give the right people your
feedback so the problems can be addressed.

With support from the Maryland Department of
Transportation's State Highway Administration
and the Maryland Highway Safety Office, the
Department of Public and Community Health of
The University of Maryland has developed the
ìMonitoring the Future of Maryland: A Survey
of Highway Safety Issues.î The purpose of this
survey is to collect public opinions on county
residentsí opinions of local enforcement
efforts directed to impaired and aggressive
drivers, knowledge of various traffic safety
laws, and commuting distances.

It takes approximately 10 minutes to complete
the survey and it is confidential. Your
participation in the survey will be valuable
in providing the state and local highway
safety directors with information on how to
better direct limited highway safety funding
to the state and local governments.

Please forward to as many people as possible.
The survey will be conducted from July 6 to
August 15, 2007

To take the survey, go to

* Dana and I are asking all of you to forward
this to your staff, employees,
officers,agencies, family members, County
Government, etc. Thank you all in advance.
