ANNOUNCEMENTS
*** Peace & Justice Coalition Looks at Radioactive Weapons ***
Peace & Justice Coalition of Prince George's County
Sunday, December 11, 5:00 pm
Greenbelt Community Center, 15 Crescent Road
"Poison DUst: A New Look at U.S.Radioactive Weapons"
Directed and edited by Sue Harris and the People's Video Network; final
edits by Michael J. Sudyn, Flying Dreams.
Produced by the Depleted Uranium Education Project, 2005.
This film dramatizes still another fault to find with the occupation of Iraq-
and indeed with military methods of the Cold War period onward.
Poison Dust begins with the story of three young National Guardsmen,
veterans of a 2003 tour of duty in Iraq, who learn that uranium poisoning
from U.S. weapons caused their mysterious ailments- and those of thousands
of other GI's and countless Iraqi citizens. Then medical experts document
how depleted uranium contamination spreads, and activists discuss the
Pentagon's cover-up efforts and the growing worldwide resistance.
Audience discussion will follow. Greenbelt Access Television will
videotape the event to show later on local cable TV.
