Judge OKs 2 Key Pacifica Decisions

Judge Ronald Sabraw on Friday (Jan. 11, 2002) affirmed the decision of
the interim Pacifica National Board to form a committee to make
recommendations on the "hot button" issue of WBAI, and to lift the gag
rule on discussion of Pacifica matters on the air. But the judge
rejected the board’s attempt to fire two law firms hired by the old
Pacifica board.
Meanwhile, the new interim Pacifica Board, which met Jan. 11-13,
restored the banned-and-fired at WBAI and made several other critical
decisions by more than 2/3 majority, meaning those decisions won't have
to go to Judge Sabraw. Details from that meeting will be in a message
following this one.
