I know what you mean Laurie - I've used espresso
in the same way. Generally mailing lists are set
up so that you recieve every message in your inbox,
but some have the login option.

I mean instead of the mail appearing in my inbox and getting mixed up
with everything else I accessed the topica website (with password) and
scrolled through the espresso list - meaning the espresso stuff was
compartmentalised for me. Some time back I subscribed to Poetry &c but
unsubscribed within days because my inbox was just clogged with often
one line messages about things I didn't care about. I'd thought
everything worked like Espresso/Topica. does this make sense?
