"Some Zines: American Independent & Underground Magazines, Newsletters, & APAs," the first major academic exhibition of zines (1992) and "Some Zines 2: Artists' & Eccentric Magazines & Micropresses" (1996--international in scope) is being offered for acquisition by an appropriate institution and/or organization.

In addition to the exhibit zine titles, related research materials (detailed surveys completed by zinesters being considered for these exhibitions, correspondence with zine authors, photographs, videotapes, cassette tapes, etc.) are included in this offering. As well, materials documenting national and international Media coverage of these exhibits (USA Today, NPR, wire service stories in numerous national newspapers, etc.) is included.

The offering also includes hundreds of zines collected by the curator over the past 20 years.

80% of the collection is currently organized alphabetically by zine title; the complete collection is housed in 20 archival (acid-free) storage boxes.

Some of these zines may be viewed at:

As well, profiles, reviews and images of exhibit zines are available in the four-color exhibtion catalogues for the two exhibits.

Dr. Trusky will deliver the collection, which to be clear, is for sale, anywhere in the continental United States (by car, spring break or summer).
