Hi Guys
I'm writing a sequel to Fairy Stories Do Sometimes Come True and need a
photograph of a small-worker's three- or five-stamp battery. Ideally
one showing the battery's cams in action and the amalgum table that
captured the gold coming out of the mill.
Can anyone please help? It's surprising, and a little disconcerting,
how few stamp battery photos are on record, so anyone with a
small-worker family history who has photos on the subject should
seriously think about getting them online for posterity.
What I'm looking for is a photo descriptive enough to live up to the old
adage that a picture is as good as a thousand words.
