| List Name | Northwest Sabbath school lesson disscusion (SDA Lesson) |
| Purpose: | This is a list to discuss issues which may or may not have been brought up in the Sabbath School Lesson.. Ideas which may require more discussion, information or comments. Since many Sabbath school classes follow the SDA adult Quarterly it allows people from all over to understand what the subject matter is and to contribute, or comment. Your participation is the only way this list can be of interest. It is not necessary to limit the discussion to the quarterly though, since there are also other lesson study plans followed, such as Book by Book, or those listening to the Graham Maxwell class for example. We want to encourage those classes to discuss here also. As we all know, sometimes the adult lesson quarterly may not be as stimulating as we may like, and other times it may cover far more territory then class time allows. The discussion is open to all Christians. Those familiar with the SDA perspectives will be most interested in the discussion, though the list is not sanctioned by the SDA church, so opinions may differ with the "official" view of the church. To grow in understanding God sometimes it is necessary to look at things in new ways. Old ways must be re-evaluated in the light of the Bible and critical analysis of current information, the standard for all thinking Christians. In all of our discussions let us remember our example of love, Jesus Christ, and follow after Him." |
