Hey Eric!

Here are the details on the race:

The UNM Global Health Interest Group is putting on a fun run 5k to raise
money for an ambulance for the local hospital in Kisiseni, Kenya (a
rural village in Kenya's Eastern Province.) The hospital is directed
and serviced by locals. Despite having only one physician, the hospital
catchment area includes some 75 villages, and thousands of people, all
of whom are spread out in rural towns and communities miles and miles
away. We are raising money for an ambulance so that, when individuals
can't get to the hospital, the hospital can go to them.

Please let everyone know! I also have some flyers (registration is
online at active.com.) Perhaps I can mail them to you?

Sincerely,

Katy

PS: I will actually be doing my research project there in March
2009--looking at the effectiveness of a Community Health Worker program
on infant malnutrition and exclusive breastfeeding practices.

Eric
