SUMO #93, 3rd October, 2004.
Start/end: Mogusaen (One Hundred Gardens) on Keio. Hare: KHUMING-ROUGE.
We only had small pack due to the cold autumn rain, hangovers, and a
tincy bit of apathy I suspect.
Apologies were from FUGU and the fish family, and I thought they liked
waterc
Anyway what non-running sad-sacks missed was a great trail well laid by
hare supreme that took us along a tree lined ridge, past serene temples
and stepped shrines. From the summit there was a panorama of the
drizzly plain. Some of the rice fields were partly harvested but no
farmers were working this day. And the river was raging.
It was his birthday so the hare gave us Guinness down-downs: one to
BALDING on his last few weeks of unmarried bliss and for his thrice Sumo
attendance. One to adventure girl CHUCK-CHUNDA and to HEADSHOT for
being useless, or Ulysses, GM. Later after the evenings reveries we had
the pleasure of a visit from BUTR (Bringing-Up-The-Rear).
Next week, 9-10th Oct is Samurai overnighter at Nebukawa.
24th October, RAPUNZEL has promised us a wonderful trail. Start TBA.
