SUMO ###94 24th Oct., 2004. From Ayase to some park nearby. Hare:
RAPUNZEL. Bag Lady/Taxi/Beer & Snack Meister: 69%. Pack: twelve good
hounds and true.
The live and only mildly jetlagged hare took to his heels at 2pm and we
followed a dozen minutes later. Some notable points of the
figure-of-eight course were an "Aussie check" on river bridge that was
actually a back check under the highway; all of four sports-grounds, and
a single Budokan. After about an hour on trail both 'true' and 'false'
the FRBs came upon "Beer Near" soon followed by another check -what!
But we eventually achieved the goal in ones and two, except for
late-coming BEE-MY-FRIEND who decided to short-cut back to the Start,
where at we no longer were.
Great sushi and beer satisfied our lusts and the circle had these
notarieties :
Most runs: CUCKY-CHUNDA (72); Virgins and visitors: SLICE-GIRL from
Ladies H3 with her son Seta; plus J-WAX of the Berkshire hounds.
Irashaimase! FUGU downed a proxy one for his daughters, KOFUGU and
PUFFER who were too busy playing on the jungle-gym. MICROSOFT had
double digits (22) and a snaring - just, it was at the park entrance.
The experimental foray out West to downtown Ayase was a success, and the
trail was voted the bee's-knees so, as bees make wax, the final
nominations went to BEE-MY-FRIEND, J-WAX and, last but not lost, to the
Hare for a great effort.
Next week's Halloween fancy dress bash on 31st October is joint
Sumo/Rising Moon meet at Shibuya, Hachiko exit. ****LATER START*** at
3PM. Continuing the fairy tale theme, the hare is SNOW-WHITE.
So, till next time, ON OUT.
