SUMO #96th 21st November, 2004. The Twin Birthday Bash Hash.
Start/finish: Kikuna on Yokohama-sen. Hares: ODDLAY/CHUCKY-CHUNDA.
Beer-pourer: CAMEL-TOE.
We, the hounds, benefited from the seriously aging hares' well-planned
and mature route. Almost everyone had to stay on true-trail and the
leaders oft switched with the led. Highlights were autumnal parklands,
a tricky CB at a shrine on top of a hill that was on-oned along a
stepping-stone creek that brought us to an historic thatched farmhouse
with a small mountain behind. On~down to a tricky check-point that was
broke on-up before we went through the other Kikuna station via the coin
lockers to the goal with most of us "in" in an hour.
Here are some of down-downs administered to the happy-campers:
Virgins: WRIST-ROCKET, ALL-DAY-SUCKER, FREE-WILLY (although it's her 2nd
run), HEY-EWE (that Welsh guy), and the magnificently fit and mysterious
sports-instructor Masako Fujie. Welcome all.
There were no 5-timers but we did have ourselves a 6-timer naming:
ODD-LAY threw himself on the mercy of the pack and after some less than
polite and other utterly dirty suggestions the popular choice was
CHIRI-CHIRI ~ it's Japanese onomatopoeia for curly hair(s). Congrats.
Passing a milestone: SHRUB (50), HEADSHOT (60).
Hungover so needing a beer: SHRUB, WRIST-ROCKET.
Too sick to run: FERTILIZE-HER (a.k.a. BULL-SERVICE).
Welcome back for the clear-visioned HULA-GIRL and the completely
honey-mooned PRINCESS-BUBBLES; plus, sadly, a couple of F-Offs:
BEE-MY-FRIEND rotating back to Bush-country and J-WAX, who made a big
impression (at least when she hugged!!!) who returns to the Blair-lair.
We miss youse already.
And then there were the hares who were also birthday kids so, as you can
imagine, things got a bit messy after that. At the Wara-Wara
after-party were Birthday cakes, presents of Coopers Brewing Kit and,
naturally, a couple more beers.
The following week's joint hash with Rising-Moon H3 was hared by our own
RAPUNZEL and 69% where frequent-flyer Matt was honourably named as "BJ".
**********HASH ALERT************
Next meet is next Sunday 5th December at usual time of 2PM from Zama on
Odakyu-sen hared by TEXAS-T-BAG.
For your diary, next next Sunday 12th is from Tsurukawa also on
Odakyu-sen with hare LAID-IN-JAPAN (a.k.a. FUGU).
Your humble Scribe, on-out.
