SUMO H3 #98 Fishy hare ruse.  Head Shot
 Dec 14, 2004 16:40 PST

Sumo #98 12th December, 2004 Tsurukawa. Hares: Laid-In-Japan /
Texas-T-Bag.
Well, if you cannot trust the hares, who can you trust?
There was some very 'fishy' business at the start where the main bunny
claimed he lost a contact lens and got the hounds to help search for it
in the parking lot. Some chance.
They took off on time anyway and 'laid' an A to B trail that was varied
and tricky in parts. They managed to suck BALDING into several CBs such
as one at a shrine on top of a mountain and another way down a flight of
about 100 stairs. Hahaha. I missed some of the other delights with
MISS-BEAN because we managed to short-cut a major loop. But mainly the
pack were bunched and in earshot with on-in in an hour.
Circle-up in the park was again quenched with Beck's best thanks to
Tx-T-BAG's kindness. And things went something like this:

Most runs: CHUCKY-CHUNDA and ICE-DELIGHT (ooooww about 70 each).
Visitor: BONES from South Africa. He was a good egg and taught us some
new songs, and entertained the ladies with his 'elephant' impersonations
(pachydermations??).

5th timer naming option: GEKKO and MISS-BEAN both declined; GEKKO
because she thought we would revive her previous despised name of
HIDE-THE-OKRA and MISS-B because she was too lazy and too comfortable in
the circle to move.
It was the hares turn: L-I-J (a.k.a. FUGU) and Tx-T-BAG drank, then the
truth came out: There was no lost contact lens. It was just a ruse to
make the hounds 'salty' for a lame hare snare. Saitei! After that it
was 'on' for 'young and old' with open nominations that seemed to be a
tennis match between BALDING and MISS-B mainly relating to the cold wind
and hasher costumes. We had new shoes for BENTORE and o-hisashiburi
hasher Just-Kazuhiro who promised to bring two ladies with him next
time. Rooiiight.
PRINCESS-BUBBLES, FREE-WILLY and SLICE-GIRL also downed one or two
before we sought the warmth of a local izekaya.   Great fun day again
despite the chill.

Next week: 19th there is no planned Sumo hash so you can take the day
off to scout trail, nurse your hangover, or make sweet, sweet lovin'.
Those who are single and/or religious can have a 'Palm Sunday'.

Following week: 26th is joint Bonenkai run with RMH3 starting 3PM from
Higashi-Koganei and hared by the eager-beaver (beaver-eager??)
KHUMING-ROUGE.
SUMO New Year's Run is 2nd Jan 2005 from Machida-hub at usual time 2PM
hared by C-C and yours truly. Mismanagement can meet earlier at 1PM
with agendas.
To all friends and fellow-trvellers we wish you ON-ON to the Year of the
Cock! Woohoo! But I'm not going to touch on that just yet...
