SUMO H3 #99 2005 - BRING IT ON!  Head Shot
 Jan 04, 2005 04:07 PST

SUMO #98th, 2nd January, 2005. DRINKING IN THE NEW YEAR BASH.
Start/end: Machida. Hare: HEADSHOT. Bag-lady: CHUCKY-CHUNDA.

**********Please see important announcement below**********

Well it was more of a hangover run after the previous day's festivities
welcoming in the "Year of the Cock" which, my research assistants very
reliably inform me, is also the "Year of the Chicks" – sooooo, we should
ALL have something to look forward to… but this trail was not one of
those things and best be forgotten, quickly. It was reasonably well
planned and fairly well laid, the main problem from the hare's
perspective was that the hounds could not follow simple instructions
such as true trail arrows and hash (even if it was camouflaged as snow).
The consensus was mainly gripes about the deliberate loop around
Machida City Hall, and dozen or so CBs, plus a hill or three and a
beautiful riverside jog, judged too straight and too flat by these
"critticks". What was the gripe? Didn't the trail pass enough hallowed
grounds of major religions: the Machida shinto Ushi-jinja, Machida
Buddhist Temple and, of course, Machida Hub. This undeserved whinging
obtained the only results it merited: a major sulk by the hare so the
circle up was MCed by the completely un-useless TEXAS-T-BAG recently
returned from his overseas jaunt.

Firstly we had an F-Off for SHRUB who was so sad to leave us he had to
take an Ebisu Beer as a memento for his train trip. Then we had a
hisashiburi welcome back for SOAPY-OPPAI on her 2nd r*n and (mea culpa)
Nakamura-san who we missed even though it too was her 2nd on the 2nd of
the month. SANDWICH-MAN (4) and TIGHT-WAD (21) were "prime" candidates;
while most "experienced" was C-C (77) who did a man's job as Bag-Lady.
We welcomed to our "bosom" the small-but-perfectly-formed virgin
Hatsue-san introduced by Tamura-san who himself is only a couple of r*ns
from a hash-name. TICKLE-MY-PINK and BANGCOCK both had 6 but declined
new names. Finally the FRBs were MICROSOFT and BANGCOCK.
Open-nominations nabbed ALL-DAY-SUCKER for having "day" in her name the
day after New-Year's "Day" and TxT-BAG and SAND'MAN for racing.
Following this I had MYGO (My-Eyes-Glazed-Over) so I can barely remember
the On-On party at a Yaki-Tori-Ya (= Year of the Tori – geddit?, do
ya??) nor the obliga-tori Hubbub. OK I'll quit while I'm a-head. No
really, I'll stop NOW…
