Another resource that isn't local but might help insofar as the
organizational piece
of your effort is concerned would be to go to postcarbon.org and correspond
with the
Bay Area group, where I know a cooperative effort is underway. Gaylord
Moore would be
your primary contact; David Room, one of Post Carbon's directors could help
you find
Gaylord, if poking around the site doesn't get you to the right place.
