Try to plan to go through the North Cascades on State Highway 20, rather than I-90, one way or the other from Spokane, if you are coming from the NE or NC part of the country. The scenery is absolutely incomparable.
It's a few hours longer, but worth every minute, especially in a SHO (good road!).
