PLEASE NOTE Vigil Cancelled for Thursday 01.09.05
Hi all,
This Thursday's vigil has been cancelled at the request of Jack's legal
team. It has come to our attention that Jack's lawyers are concerned
about a public action outside of the court having an negative impact on
the trial proceedings.
Solicitor Peta Murphy was able to come to the J4J organising meeting
tonight to explain their position. The campaign are aiming to have
discussions about what can be done in the way of vigils or other
actions to support Jack's case and talk about the associated civil
liberties issues after Thursday's metion in the Supreme Court.
