Petro Georgiou has been the Federal Member for Kooyong since 1994. He is
Chairman of the Standing Committee on Science and Innovation, a member
of the Joint Library Committee and a member of two Government Backbench
Committees (Immigration, Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs, and
Attorney-General, Justice and Customs). His previous positions include
Senior Adviser to Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser (1976-79) and Director,
Australian Institute of Multicultural Affairs (1980-85).
