Although this nation's most popular December holiday is centered on the
birthday of a quasi-religous/polymythical dude, we here in Loyd Family
Player Land (kinda near the North Pole, but some miles to the left and
down) are celebrating our own resurrection. After some months largely
spent away from the live stage, we're back with a BOOM this and next
month to make sure you shake all your new winter padding in just the
right (and left and down) ways.
Here's some opportunities for you to shout "Make way for the L-F-P"
along with us (times listed are when we're likely to hit the boards):
--Sat., Dec. 29 at 9PM
-The LFP open for the California Honeydrops
-Amnesia
-853 Valencia st., San Francisco
-http://www.amnesiathebar.com/
-$6-8
-Come kick it with us on the REAL New Year's Eve, at the Mission’s
sweetest venue (and with the sweetest proprietor, too).
--Mon., Dec. 31 at 10:30PM
-Eighth Annual SEA OF DREAMS NYE: MetamorphoSeas
-San Francisco Concourse Exhibition Center
-635 8th street @ Brannan, San Francisco
-http://www.seaofdreamsnye.com/
-$55-105
-This is our second year in a row playing this massive music and art
spectacle. Among this year's three dozen (or more) live attractions are
the Brazilian Girls, Kinky, Adam Freeland, and the Vau de Vire Society
with Madd Vibe Orchestra, featuring Fishbone's Angelo Moore. There will
be puppetry and burlesque and art gallery mazes and ahundred other
things to delight your senses.
--Thur., Jan. 31 at 9PM
-The LFP open for for Diego’s Umbrella and Cuban Cowboys
-The Rickshaw Stop
-155 Fell street, San Francisco
-http://rickshawstop.com/
-$8
-This is going to be a perfect party at one of the West Bay's most
interesting venues. The LFP join two San Francisco bands with Latin
flavor: the "Mexi-Cali Gypsy Pirate Polka" of Diego's Umbrella
(www.myspace.com/diegosumbrella); and the Cuban Son-meets-Montuno
post-punk of the Cuban Cowboys (www.myspace.com/cubancowboys).
--We truly hope to see you all out there; visit our website
