Dear Thetford Residents,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as a candidate
for the positions of Town Treasurer and Delinquent Tax Collector for the
Town of Thetford. I have a strong desire to serve the Town and feel
that my abilities and experiences would be a good match for these
positions. My past experience includes fifteen years of banking,
working as both a Loan Manager involving collections, and an Assistant
Vice President and Director of Human Resources. I managed payrolls,
budgets, financial reports, employee records, benefits and personnel
issues for over six hundred employees. I believe these experiences have
prepared me for the responsibilities of Town Treasurer and Delinquent
Tax Collector. I consider myself a well organized, energetic,
professional who is tenacious when it comes to getting a job done. My
employment history proves that I am a hard worker who is willing to
accept responsibility. I think the Town Hall should be a place where
residents feel comfortable approaching town officials and I believe I
have the ability to run an efficient Treasurer's Office and work well
with other departments in town, as well as serve the residents of
Thetford in a helpful, friendly, manner. After reviewing the
selectboard minutes for the past year and speaking with employees from
various town departments, I believe there is a need for a change at Town
Hall and feel that I have the ability to make these changes. I would
urge all Thetford residents to read the selectboard minutes, which can
be viewed on Thetford's Homepage on Thet.Net.
I would appreciate our vote at the polls on March 2.
