3D graphics - cannot find ear  Jason Tranter

Hello Rod,

I don't know whether you remember me from many years ago. I was using
the code from your "VB Graphics Programming" book to develop some
software for "shaft alignment". I think I paid you for some consulting
work. Anyway, you were a great help then, and your book is excellent.

I am working on another 3D project that also uses your code (your book
was the best investment I have ever made!) but I have run into a
problem. The bottom line is that when I render models with surface
shading I occasionally run into a problem in the FindEar routine - it
can't seem to find an ear and it hits a Stop statement.

I would quite understand if you were no longer providing support for the
old VB code, but I was just wondering if you have a newer version of
that code? (I believe the error occurs when you happen to view a
cylinder from side-on with insufficient perspective.)

If you could help I would really appreciate it.

Jason Tranter
