"A victory for one is a victory for all."
The next Washington-Orange-Lamoille Labor Council monthly meeting
will be Wednesday, June 18th, 6 p.m. at the Community Room,
Montpelier Police Station behind Montpelier City Hall.
A brief business meeting will be followed at 6:30 by a Public forum
on fighting for "An Economy that Works for All" and launching
our Million-Member Mobilization for the Employee Free Choice Act. The
forum is free and open to the public.
All local unions in Washington-Orange-Lamoille are urged to send at
least one delegate. If Labor Council officers or delegates are
unable to attend due to work or other reasons, please call Traven at
223-4172 or (cell) 522-3484 in advance to leave a message.
Delegates from non-affiliated unions and worker-supportive community
based organizations are more than welcome. AFL-CIO unions that have
not yet paid their 2008 affiliation fees are asked to make their back per
capita payments before the start of the meeting.
Our website has been updated. Please check regularly for important
labor events.
In solidarity,
Traven Leyshon, President Washington-Orange-Lamoille
Labor Council
