Web db services fail to start - Nl80.dll not found

Hello everyone!
I would need some help with an issue concerning the
Web db installation.
We have Web db 2.2.0.0.5 installed over Oracle 8.1.6, on Windows
NT Server. The machine has suffered some physical
modification - a rebuilt of the RAID 5 structure,
followed by a "checkdisk" and an attempt to repair the
detected errors.
After these operations the OracleWEBDBCacheClient80
fails to start, providing the following error:
"The dynamic link library Nl80.dll could not be found
at the following addresses: c:\oracle\webdb\bin;... "
The Oracle WebDB Listener service gives the same error
message several times when we try to start it, but it
eventually starts.
The dll is there. We've tried replacing it with
another one (we thought the file might have been
corrupted) and even replacing the exe file behind the
service.
We would like to know whether there is any way we can
recover from this error without reinstalling Web DB.
Assuming reinstalling is the only way out, how will
this reinstallation affect the already existing
objects? Will they be lost? What can be done in order
not to lose the objects? Will an export of the user
schema for the owner of the objects do?
I must admit I don't know much about web db
installation; the site we have running right now was
developed by a person that used to work with us, but
whom we cannot reach right now, so any suggestion will
be more than welcome.
Thank you in advance.
All the best wishes to everyone.
Laura
