After experimenting with Yahoo Chat, It looks like it works well if restrain ourselves with its use as it can be too much of an interruption if you use it too much.

On the other hand it works well as just an indicator of who is one line. The way it is useful it as a way to tell people that they have an opportunity to do a quick email back and forth.

Email keeps a record. Yahoo Chat does not so good info can get lost.

I don't think it is useful to use the "Login, Change my status" menu as it goes out of date to quickly. If you see a friend is on line you can send a quick inquirery as to are you available for a phone chat and what time is good and the same for a quick email exchange.

Just my thinking.about what is starting to work pretty well as long as we do not make it an interruption such that people do not use it.

Pleas set it up to be always in the back ground for a while so we can experiment.
