To Bob Smith and eveyone:
From John Peters
Good to hear from you Bob
Bob answers my question:
Do we have to wait for the C wrapper to be removed before we can do this project?
Not as far as I know. I (or someone else) will have to check it out.
I seem to recall that the list is kept somewhere in the Registry. I could be wrong.
Bob
Alex says:
Just hack away, it's outside the scope of the wrapperless W32F.

RECENT FILES menu to show most recently used files on top, LRF off bottom.
\ Put a double down arrow on the bottom for more files like MS programs
\ Remove "Recent Files" title to make room for two more files in the list
\ How do you remove files from this list, use reg edit?
\ We may have to wait for the completion of the C wrapper project.
==^==^================================================Bob got this far last timeIf you search in WinEd.f for : load-defaults ( -- ) you will go to the right place in the file so that you can look above the hit and find the bottom part of the word: I am talking about in the area of line 9,482.: save-defaults ( -- )<snip >lots of lines<snip> ?DO tempBuf i GetString: fileMenu tempBuf count s" FileString " 2dup + 1- i '0' + swap c! \ append the count 0-7 "SetDefault LOOP Ideally this would work like MS Windows Me and newer systems. That is the most often used files stay viewable and the files that are not used very often become in the back ground (or farther down would be ok) where you have to do a click to get them to the fore ground. This makes for a cleaner interface and avoids frustration when the file you need fell off the bottom of the list in WinEd.Currently the latest file is placed on the bottom of the list and if there are more than eight already on the list then it falls off the bottom. The line with recent-files? might be able to be removed to make room for one more file.==^================================================================
