E-mail AutoLISP course
You know how it is. It takes hours, sometimes even
days, before your AutoCAD drawing is created. That's
the way it is.
That's not how it should be. You can get your AuitoCAD
drawings much faster. If you use an AutoLISP program.
You can save lots of time.
I wrote an AutoLISP program. The program creates a
complete AutoCAD drawing. Within one minute. To create
the drawing by hand would take a day.
You can also write an AutoLISP program that creates a
part of your AutoCAD drawing. With such programs you're
also saving lots of time.
With a program that creates a part of your drawing. The
time needed for creating an AutoCAD drawing can easily
go down by 50 percent.
If you know AutoLISP. You're already doing. You're
using AutoLISP. If you don't know AutoLISP. Then start
with learning AutoLISP.
That's something I did. I started with an e-mail
AutoLISP course. It's a ten weeks course. You'll get
twenty lessons.

you the AutoLISP programming language, how to create

and has got two young kids. She has been married. Now

I've put a drawing on the web site. The drawing ahs
been created by a program that I wrote. It's a complete
AutoCAD drawing. Of a steel door.
You can make that drawing by hand. I don't know who
fast you re. But that would take a whole day. I guess.
Not so with the program.
The complete drawing is created within one minute.
Using the program. So by using the program you're
saving a lot of time with AutoCAD.
You can save that time too. If you know AutoCAD and if
you write your own programs. To learn programming.
That's where my books come in.
I already talked about my books. What can be found in

Tamil Movies
You already know. My wife is Indian. Malaysian Indian.
She speaks Bahasa Malaysia and English. But her mother
tongue is Tamil.
Here we've got satellite TV. One channel is only
sending Tamil programs. Movies, shows, talks. All
Tamil.
At first I didn't like this channel. I didn't know what
they were saying. But you know how it is. Being
married, not being the boss ...
Anyway. And that's after more than three years. I'm
beginning to understand where they are talking about.
And singing about.
Last week. They were singing. I didn't understand every
word. But I picked up some words. And I knew where they
were singing about.
At first there was this guy. He was singing. "If your
car breaks down you must call the workshop. And wait
for them to tow it away".
Next there was another guy. He was very happy. He was
singing. "I don't have to call the workshop. If my car
breaks down. I have no car".
No. Now I understand the Tamil movies. Still I prefer
other movies. Rambo. Jean Claude Van Damme. "No where
to run".
And that's so nice here. With satellite TV. They repeat
these movies all the time. One hundred times. For if
you miss the movie.
Bribe
I was reading an e-book. That was stated in the e-book.
Don't write an e-book. Nor before you've done a survey.
And found out whether there is a market.
If that's true. Then I made a big mistake. You know.
Writing the four e-books that I did. Because before
writing I didn't do a survey.
I should have done a survey first. That's what the e-
book said. First I should have established whether
people are interested in my books.
I already have written my books. In fact. I've put them
on a web site. There is no way that I can turn that
back.
But there is something I can do. I can do a survey.
That's what I want to do. Now I want to do a survey.
But I make it good.

Guru
The other day. I was outside a shop. They had plants.
My wife wanted to see them. And you know. That's how I
am. I followed her.
A lady was running the shop. A young lady. She had five
kids. Still young. The youngest. A son. He came to me.
He asked me.
"Are you a teacher?", he wanted to know. I was
surprised. This young guy spoke English! His English
wasn't too bad. I looked at him.
"Yeah", I said, "saya guru". You don't know what I
said. The young boy knew. I said: "I'm a teacher". I
said it in Bahasa.
He didn't ask me. Guru or teacher for what. If he had
asked. I would have said "Guru Bahasa Malaysia", "Guru
Pakaranti", or "Guru nothing".
You know what that is. Guru Bahasa Malaysia. That's
teacher for the lanuage they speak here. Pakaranti?
Never heard of pakarenti. Made it up.
Guru nothing. You know what that means. A guru is a
teacher. Guru nothing. I know a famous guru nothing.
World famous. Me.
Presentations
The last time I made a remark about presentations. I'm
doing presentations. I show the people what I did for
programming in AutoCAD.
Not always. But some people ask me how much it costs.
Programming for AutoCAD. I always give a straight
answer. A lot.
I tell the people about the customers I have. They
engage me. They pay me a lot of money. And then they
go broke.
That's why I give presentations. To do programming
for AutoCAD. To find new customers. I must always find
new customers. Old customers? I don't have them.
How much education?
I don't know why., But people think that I'm a very
smart guy. I must look smart. Because I don't feel
smart.
Look. Is that smart? Still working. Making little
money. Married. Come on now. Let me tell you what is
smart.
Smart is being retired with 35. Having the time of your
life. Being in a foreign country, far away from where
you were born. That is smart.
The other day. A guy asked me. "How much education do
you have?". I gave him an honest answer. "Not too much.
Only twelve years".
"Twelve years?", he said. "But that's a lot". "No", I
said, "that's not much. I only did primary school.
Every class two times".
AutoLISP books
I told you about them. I've written four books about

3. UNDO command
-------------------------------------------------------
That is a command that has many options. Although most
often it is only used in one way. At the command prompt
U is typed. Or UNDO.
There are also commands that have an UNDO option.
Example of these command are LINE, DIM, TRIM, and
EXTEND.
But here the UNDO command is a little bit special. The
last action of the command is undone. And to perform an
UNDO the letter U is typed at the prompt.
To see all the options of the UNDO command enter UNDO
at the command prompt. The following prompt is
displayed:
Auto/Control/BEgin/End/Mark/Back/<Number>:
If you type U at the command prompt the last action is
undone. Using the prompt under UNDO you must do a
little bit more.
The prompt is displayed. You can press the ENTER key.
You don't give any input. Then the last action is
undone.
You can also enter a number at the prompt. Then that
number of actions is undone. Of course counting from
the last action.
But there is more. There are a lot of options. Here's
an overview of what all the options do and how all
these options can be used:
Auto Forget about this option. It has no proper
use. We don't need that option. That option
can be left out
Control After choosing for this option the following
prompt is displayed:
All/None/One <All>:
Now you can set how U or UNDO works. You can
have oit work on all commands, on only one
command, or you can disable the command
BEgin You can use this to define the start of a
group. All commands invoked after defining the
group are undone at the same time.
To end the definition of the group the END
option of the Undo command must be used
End See above
Mark This option works together with the Back
option. A mark is created. You can set several
marks.
Every time the Back option is invoked then
there is jumped back to the set mark. If no
more marks are found then there is:
This will undo everything. OK? <Y>
Back See above
Right after invoking the UNDO command you can use the
REDO command. Then what has been undone will be redone
right away.
