A few Reminders...
You do not have to register on Friday night, it is just an opportunity to
get it done early so that you don't have to mess with it on Race morning on
Saturday. We will be handing out receipts upon payment as well.
Also on Saturday, there is a bike shop located in the strip mall where we
are staging our race as well as a Subway and Food lion grocery store. Just
FYI.
Allan Capute, a sponsor of the JMU and American University teams will be
here taking pictures for free. I will upload them and send the link post
championships.
Please me mindful about your trash, we have been very lucky to have such
great support and we hope to keep it that way. Keep the roads clean.
1.) You can still reserve hotel rooms at the hotels listed in the guide
for the majorly discounted price. Just mention 2008 ACC Cycling
Championships to get the rate.
2.) Registration Times:
. Friday 7-9:30PM
. Wingate hotel (125 South Main St., Winston Salem, NC 27101)
. Saturday 7AM - RR
. Lewisville (see media guide)
. There will be NO race-day registration for the TTT. Please shoot
Shawn Kane ( <mailto:spk-@gmail.com> spk-@gmail.com) an email by
Thursday with Team name, Team Category and how many will be riding on the
team.
3.) Banquet
. $7 for collegiate affiliated members and coaches.
. All others (Mom/Dad, friends, etc.) - $15.
. We have over 125 people reserved for the banquet, if you plan on
attending and have not reserved your seats, shoot me an email or go to
<http://www.wfu.edu/cycling> www.wfu.edu/cycling and click on the
Championship logo and scroll down to the banquet sign up. For the menu,
please refer to the media guide.
. Wristbands will be available at registration on Friday night,
Saturday morning and at the door for the last few stragglers.
. Awards Ceremony for Saturday's races will take place at the
banquet.
. For all teams attending the banquet, you will get a FREE end of
the season recap CD.
4.) Winston Salem Downtown Criterium (WSDC)
. Collegiate racers interested in racing in the WSDC in the
afternoon, you can race for $10 IF YOU REGISTER WITH ME BY FRIDAY EVENING BY
SHOOTING ME AN EMAIL OR AT REGISTRATION ON FRIDAY EVENING. Anytime after
this you will be full price including race day fees. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you
plan on racing, please email me ( <mailto:QuadJ-@aol.com>
QuadJ-@aol.com) with the following race information:
. Name, address, city, state, zip, phone number, Racing team, license
number, emergency contact and number
. You will need to pay at any of the previously noted registrations
times/locations.
5.) Kids Race
. On Sunday afternoon during the public race, we will be having a
kids race and I need as many riders to help the kids. They will be ranging
from 3-14. If you are interested in sticking around helping, that would be
great. Just let me know.
