Inzaghi has Olympic dream

Pippo Inzaghi has told Under-21 boss Claudio Gentile to consider him for the Olympic Games.
Italy qualified for the event on Saturday, having beat Portugal in the U-21 Euro Finals, and Inzaghi is keen after being dropped for Euro 2004.
"I was devastated to miss out on the squad," he told Controcampo. "It was a real shame because I’m in good shape now.
"Although the youngsters ensured Olympic qualification, I am ready for selection if Gentile wants me."
The Azzurrini will be allowed to use three over-aged individuals in Athens and Inzaghi is fit again after recent ankle surgery.
The former Juventus ace was also asked to comment on his club future as transfer rumours suggest he could be sold.
"I’m hearing the reports too but it is my intention to stay here with Milan," added the international.
Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti also seems keen on keeping the player by claiming he will be the club’s best summer ‘signing’.
"He said a similar thing last summer about Andriy Shevchenko and look what he achieved," stated Inzaghi. "I’m hoping history repeats itself."
