Milan ace Clarence Seedorf has been ruled out of Holland’s opening game of the 2004 European Championships.
The midfielder has picked up a hamstring injury and he will not feature in the June 15 tie against Germany.
The 28-year-old underwent tests earlier today and he’ll need around five days to fully recover.
Seedorf suffered the problem on Saturday during the 1-0 shock friendly defeat to the Republic of Ireland.
However, the Dutch medical staff are confident that the former Samp man will be fit enough to face the Czech Republic and Latvia.
Seedorf is expected to make a real impact at Euro 2004 after enjoying a stunning season with Milan.
